Hot Air Balloon!

We finished our hot air balloon today! We read the book Graduation Day too! We compared our graduation with the book's! Later today I will glue the balloons to the box and they will be completed! Ms. Ashley

Summer vacation!

Today we read the book The Night Before Summer Vacation. In small groups we passed an ice cube to music, we made a rainbow with colored noodles, and we painted with lemons! So fun! Ms. Ashley

Summer Vacation theme!

This week we are doing summer vacation themed activities! We read the book When I Grow Up. Instead of small groups we pulled kids over individually to make a paper mache hot air balloon! One table they painted a box and in the other group they dipped newspaper into fabric softener to put on their balloon! Our preschool smelled so good the entire day! We will attach the balloon to the box on Wednesday to complete our hot air balloon! Ms. Ashley

Last day of circus!

Today we read the book In the Jungle. In small groups we played an animal cracker game where you drew an animal out of a bag and tried to find it's match on a card, we colored a wagon and glued animal crackers in it, and we put pop rocks in baking soda and vinegar to watch and listen to it! The kids really liked that experiment because they could hear it! Have a fabulous weekend and thanks again to everyone who came to graduation last night! Ms. Ashley

Trapeze painting!

Today we read the book If I Ran The Circus by Dr. Seuss. In small groups we painted plastic wrap with liquid starch and put tissue paper on it to make circus decoration and we patterned seals. In the last group we painted like we were on a trapeze swing! It was so much fun! Hope to see everyone at graduation tonight! Ms. Ashley

Clowns!

Today we read the book The Little Engine That Could. In the book, there was a clown so in one small group we made a clown using shapes! In the another small group we experimented with fun circus colors, milk, and dish soap! It was fun watching the colors explode when the soap hit it! In the last group we painted with balloons! It was a fun day! Ms. Ashley

The Circus!

We are learning about the circus this week! Today we read the book Olivia Saves the Circus! In small groups used tweezers to pick up peanuts and feed it to elephants, we colored a face mask to look like a circus animal, and we did a gummy bear experiment! We found circus toys and put them out; the kids love them! Ms. Ashley
