Dirt bikes!

Today we read the book Come Along With Us, in the book other was multiple kinds of transportation! In small groups we made plane airplanes then flew them, we laced cars and trucks, and we made our own magnetic airplane that can be hung on your refrigerator while holding papers! The kids had to spell their name as I wrote it on their airplane; almost everyone could spell it! Hooray! We had guests come in today to show another kind of transportation! They shared all their dirt bike gear and explain what it is and how it is used then the kids got to pass it around! We all went outside and watched them ride the bikes up and down the street doing wheelies! The kiddos LOVED it! Thanks guys! Then our Star of the Week shared his favorite book with us! We had a busy but super fun day! Ms. Ashley

Transportation

We read the book Round Trip. That was a really neat book because you read the book like normal then at the end you flipped it and read it backwards! At circle, we shared our transportation toys! If someone forgot then they just grabbed one from here! In small groups we drew pictures then stamped transportation stamps on it, we played transportation bingo, and we painted with cars! Early this morning, Ms. Robin let the kids make a terrarium! They had a blast making it !Ms. Susan snapped a picture of us playing duck duck goose too!  Today went by so quickly; we had a lot of fun! Tomorrow we have a fun day planned too! Ms. Ashley

In small groups we made a quail using the letter Q, we made Q's with play dough, and we patterned big and little Q's. Ms. Stacy also came to review our food groups! Every Tuesday we will learn about nutrition and every Thursday we will learn about exercise! See everyone tomorrow! Don't forget to bring your toy transportation in to show!

Our last small group was completely independent today, they got to build a train track in our train station area! We put transportation everywhere! Don't forget on Wednesday the kids can bring their own transportation toy to school with them! We celebrated a birthday today too! See you tomorrow! Ms. Ashley

Last day of opposites!

Today we read the book Weather. We talked about the different types of weather and how they are sometimes opposites. In small groups we rolled a dice and counted the number then we found the number on an opposite page (same one we used in our opposite books!) and we either found it in the room or did the action! We also ripped light and dark paper and made a colorful collage! Afterwards we mixed equal parts of water and cornstarch; that is so neat! At first its hard and clumped together then you put it in your hand and it melts! Very neat and easy to do! We had a blast today! Have a fabulous weekend! Ms. Ashley
