Seeds

Today we read the book The Tiny Seed. In small groups we drew our own picture and told where our tiny little seed flew too! We had some really funny ones! We also named shapes on flowers! Our Star of the week shared his board and passed around a SpongeBob toy! We remembered to water our seeds we planted yesterday and we have an updated picture on the chicks that hatched! Planting flowers!

Today we read the book Flip, Flop, Fly. In small groups we made egg carton flowers (which we didn't get painted so if you would like to paint them at home go for it!) and we used flower stamps to make a picture! We also planted seeds in our garden! First we pulled out all the weeds, which was a lot, then they each had to dig a hole to put their seeds in. After we put the seeds in we each had to water our seeds! Fun! We played play dough forever today! Our Star of the week shared some more toys today! See you tomorrow.

Planting seeds and gardens

Today we read the book My Little Seed. In small groups we talked about planting a garden so we painted with some fruit and vegetables! We also matched seed packets together! Our Star of the week shared another toy with us today! We have another baby chick! We got to watch it hatch out of the shell! The kids were so excited! See you tomorrow!

Seeds and Plants

We are learning about seeds and plants this week! We read the book Sunflower Life Cycle. In small groups we did a flower math worksheet and we cut out a flower then glued seeds in the middle of it! Our Star of the week shared a necklace and a ninja turtle with us today! We had the best surprise of all this morning; we have baby chicks! Three of them! We want to thank Ms. Stacy so much for letting us use her incubator and bringing us eggs to hatch! See everyone tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

Arbor Day

Today we had a special guest come in from the library and read us two books and do a little skit with us! Since it was Arbor Day today we made trees in our group! We cut out a tree top and dotted it with bingo dotters then we put it onto a paper towel roll for a trunk! We were suppose to go outside to do bark rubbing (Put a piece of paper on a tree and rub a crayon over it) but it started raining. Have a great weekend!

Recycled treasure box and compost!

Today we read the book Ants in Your Pants, and Worms in Your Plants. In small groups we talked about compost and recycling; so we sorted items into groups of recyclable or compost. We also finished our treasure boxes from Tuesday where we reused empty tissue boxes! See everyone tomorrow, Ms. Ashley!
