Happy Thanksgiving!

We read the book Thanksgiving Rules. In small groups we made a turkey with tissue paper, we colored and counted a clothespin turkey, and we painted with hay paint brushes! Ms. Susan helped out in our room today; the kids were so excited! Ms. Stacy made an amazing Thanksgiving lunch for us! Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving break and we will see you on Monday! Thankful turkeys

We're learning about Thanksgiving this week! Today we read the book Thanksgiving Parade. Instead of small group we did one large group; we made thankful turkeys! We cut out our hands for feathers and glued together shapes to make a turkey then we told the teacher what we were thankful for! They turned out very cute! See you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley.

Thank you!

This is our last day learning about Pilgrims and Indians! We read the book Ants Play. In small groups we laced a dream catcher, we cut feathers out to glue onto our Indian hats, and we filled Thanksgiving cookie cutters with paper pulp! The paper pulp should dry over the weekend... hopefully! It's basically like recycled paper! Fun! Our Star of the week shared his board with us! We also had the librarian, Ms. Coli, come read to us! Have a fabulous weekend, Ms. Ashley

Pilgrims and Indians!

Today we read the book The Very First Thanksgiving Day. In small groups we sailed our own Mayflower ships in the sensory table, we cut our own pilgrim hats, and we glued pretzel sticks to make a house like the pilgrim's had built! Today was a fun day! See you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

Letter K

We learned the letter K today! We sang our alphabet song and learned how to finger spell the letter K! In small groups we made a handprint kite then rolled a dice to count how many bows we are going to glue on! We practiced writing K's in cranberry sauce for a little Thanksgiving fun! Then we also tore foil into pieces and glued onto a key for the letter K! Our Star of the week shared his toy trains with us today! See you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

Pilgrims and Indians

This week we are learning about pilgrims and Indians! We read the book One Little, Two Little, Three Little Pilgrims. In small groups we made pumpkin play dough with canned pumpkin, corn starch, pumpkin spice, and thanks to Ms. Toni's suggestion flour! We sequenced pilgrims and Indians by their number and we painted corn with Legos! Fun day! Wal-mart also donated some Halloween costumes to us! A HUGE thank you from all the kiddos! Hope everyone had a fabulous snow day and see you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

Happy Friday!

Today was our last day for kitchen and cooking. At circle we talked about what our favorite lunches were! We had lots of different answers like cereal, pizza, and macaroni and cheese. We read The Princess and The Pizza. During small groups we made our own paper pizza and we painted using corn on the cob. Have a great weekend, and stay warm!
