Today we read the book Mr. Pompo's Nose! It was about how a pumpkin lost his nose "stem" and couldn't find it! It was a very cute book! In small groups we talked about how stems help to feed the pumpkin so we took celery and put into colored water. We predicted what will happen to the celery and discussed how the celery will soak up the water like the stem of a pumpkin does. We put our pumpkins and gourds in order by size and we made a pumpkin with tissue paper! Our Star of the Week also got to eat breakfast with his Grandma and shared his favorite super hero coloring book! It was a fabulous day! Ms. Ashley
