We're learning about exercise and yoga this week! Today we learned about the letter N!

Sorry I did not blog yesterday, I went home sick but I will get everyone caught up! Yesterday, we read the book Biscuit Takes a Walk. While reading the book, we talked about exercises Biscuit did. In small groups, we rolled a dye and had to do that many jumping jacks! If they are going to kindergarten next year then they had to add two dice together then do that many jumping jacks! We painted with bouncy balls and we made a chart of ways to stay healthy! We also got a surprise package in the mail! We opened it up and it was an elf! His name is Tinsel Elfkins! We got a letter saying that Tinsel Elfkins will be in our classroom everyday until Christmas watching the kiddos! However, he cannot be touched or he will lose his power to fly to Santa every night.

Today we sang our alphabet song and sounded out the letter N. In small groups; we wrote the letter N in sand and we made N's into a night sky. We also had different shapes with big and little N's on them, we had to name the shape, if it was a big or little N, and say the sound! Tinsel Elfkins was found hanging upside down in our room today!
