Hanukkah

We learned about Hanukkah today! We read the book My Little Dreidel. We had one large group together today instead of small groups. We colored a menorah (candle stick holder) yellow and glued 9 candles on it then we made/tried latke's. A latke is grated potatoes, carrots, onion, eggs, and seasoning mixed together into a patty and served with applesauce. Ours didn't quite look right but it still tasted the same! Some kids enjoyed it and others did not! Tinsel Elfkins was in a dress! It was too cute! We had a good day! Ms. Ashley
