Bugs

We are learning about bugs this week! Today we read the book I Love Bugs. In small groups we picked bees then I read what was on them and we did that movement (ex. wiggle your fingers, jump, stand on one foot), we sorted bugs, and we colored a coffee filter and sprayed it then clipped it with a clothespin to make a butterfly! Our Star of the week shared some toys with us, showed us some pictures, and we read a book she brought! See you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

Letter Y

Today we learned the letter Y! We sang our alphabet song and learned to finger spell the letter Y.  We only had one large group today; we made yarn bowls! We dipped pieces of yarn into liquid starch then put them on top of paper bowls. When the yarn dries and hardens, you can put anything you want into your yarn bowl! We are almost done with the alphabet! See you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

Farms

We're learning about farms this week! Today we read the book Down By The Farm. In small groups we painted with a fork to make a chick, we matched shapes while playing a duck shape game, and we pretended to milk a cow with a glove! We poked a super small hole into a glove and squeezed water out of it into a pan! Ms. Stacy is also letting us use her  incubator to hatch chicken eggs! Today we are testing to see if I can keep the temperature at the right spot then tomorrow we will put eggs into it! I may be more excited than the kids! We will keep you updated on how our chicks are doing!
