Vietnam

We're learning about Vietnam today! We read the book Fly Free. In small groups we made Vietnam hats, we used chop sticks to draw in sand for a zen garden, and we put together two puzzles about Vietnam! We sat on the floor for breakfast, lunch, and snack too! We had rice with every meal. Ms. Susan came in at review to show us some pictures of her family then she helped Ms. Stacy make fresh spring rolls! We also had our Star of the Week share some of her favorite toys! Fun day! See you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

Feelings

We're learning about feelings this week! Today we read the book Feelings. In small groups we made a feeling book, we drew feeling faces into shaving cream, and we made a feeling face with shapes! We also had a few grandparents stop by to celebrate Grandparents Day with their grandkids! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Ms. Ashley

Grandparents Day and Manners

Today we read the book Be Kind and Polite. We only had two small groups today; one was writing a thank you card and one was making a picture of what to say when you sneeze! Excuse me! We also had grandparents come in for Grandparents Day on Sunday! The kiddos were so excited to do a craft and show their grandparents around the school! We will have another opportunity for grandparents to come in on Monday from 10:30-11 if you missed today! Have a good weekend, Ms. Ashley.

Manners

Today we read the book David Gets in Trouble. In small groups we took turns coloring a big coffee filter to make something beautiful, we counted and took turns while playing Chutes and Ladders, then we acted out how to use our manners with puppets! See you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

 

Letter B

Today we sang our alphabet song! Our small groups were all about the letter B today! One group was making blue play dough, one was making a butterfly, and one was building B's with blocks! We bounced, boinked, pretended to be bears, butterflies, and bees too! It was a very Busy day! Ms. Ashley

Manners

This week we're learning about manners! Today we read the book Hands are Not for Hitting. The kids loved the book so much and were so involved while reading it! We only had two small groups; one was gluing table setting pieces to a piece of paper, we talked about how good manners are at the table and the other group we playing a game! We had to use good manners like saying please and thank you while waiting for our turn! We ended up playing the game throughout most of centers too! We sent out 4 Big Bodies today so please, please, please send in your addresses if you got a piece of paper with the info on it! See you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley
