Bugs!

We are learning about bugs this week! Today we read the book I Love Bugs! In small groups we made magnetic butterflies to hang your refrigerator, we sorted bugs, and we put raisins into seltzer water and watched them move around like water bugs do! We had a very fun day! Ms. Ashley

Reptiles!

Today we read the book The Yucky Reptile Alphabet Book. In small groups we made a turtle with a bowl, we made play dough (with conditioner and corn starch...thanks Ms. Stacy for the idea!)and tried to make a reptile out of it, and we counted crocodile teeth before it snapped! Today was fun! Our Star of the Week shared her board today! We also had a birthday to celebrate! Busy, busy day! Have a fabulous weekend! Ms. Ashley

Lizards!

Today we learned about lizards! In small groups we dug through dirt like a lizard would to search for bugs, we matched lizards with dots to the lizard with the number on it, and we made lizards from jumbo popsicle sticks! It was a fun day! Ms. Ashley

Snakes!

Today we read the book Amazing Snakes. In small groups we cut a paper plate to make a snake, we patterned triangles on top of a snake, and we read the book Snakes to learn more about them! We kids liked reading about snakes!

Letter W

Today we learned the letter W. We sang our alphabet song and learned to sign the letter W. In small groups we wrote the letter W in shaving cream, we did a maze, and we colored a W to color like a watermelon! Our Star of the Week shared her baby doll and favorite book too! Reptiles!

We are learning about reptiles this week! Today we read the book The Teeny Weeny Tadpole. In small groups we made a frog headband, we put the life cycle of a frog in order, and we made a frog number book! We put water beads in the sensory table with frogs too so the kids can kind of see what a frog egg would feel like! They loved playing in there! See you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

Sea Animals!

Today we read the book I Am Deep In The Deep Blue Sea. In small groups we laced sea animals, we ripped blue and green paper to make an ocean then glued sharks and fish on, and we fished with lettered fish! Our Star of the Week shared her board today with her Mama! She also shared some of her favorite toys! Have a good weekend, Ms. Ashley
