Last day for Community Helpers!

Today was our last day for learning about community helpers! We learned about doctors! In small groups we rolled a dice and glued that many items onto our doctor bag, we put a Band-Aid on a person and told when we had an ouchy, and we did a relay race! Our relay race was so fun! We froze colored water inside of gloves that doctors wear and ran as fast as we could to put them into the basket! Our Star of the Week shared his Woody doll and a book with his mama today! Doctor

Today we learned about doctors! We read the book Doctor. In small groups we made x-rays of our hands and we measured everyone's height! At review, we talked about who was the tallest/shortest and the same height! See you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

Letter T

Today we sang our alphabet song and learned to finger spell the letter T. In small groups we used shapes to make a tractor, we painted with tractors, and we pulled items out of a T tub! Our Star of the week shared some of his stuffed animals with us today! See you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

Dentist

Today we read the book Why I Brush My Teeth!. In small groups we pretended to floss teeth and we painted a yellow tooth white. At review, we played crocodile dentist and had to push teeth down inside the croc's mouth! But if a sore tooth was touched, it would snap! So much fun! We had a visitor today and the kids were so excited to see her! Have a great day and see you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

Dentists

Last week of community helpers! Today is dentists! We read the book Hooray for Teeth. In small groups we cut a tooth brush and we counted teeth! At review, our Star of the Week shared a motorcycle! This afternoon during large group we are going to play a fun game called Crocodile Dentist! Fun! See you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

Police

Today we had Ms. Vicki from the library come by and read us a snowman book! We talked about policemen then cut and colored a police badge. At review, we read the book Police Officers. Have a great weekend, Ms. Ashley

Community Helpers: Construction Workers and Police

We are finally back! Since we were suppose to learn about construction workers earlier this week and couldn't; today we combined construction and police officers! We read the book Police Cars and looked through a construction book. In small groups we tore paper to make a police car, we cut foil to make a saw, and we matched tools together! There's a chance we might get more snow tonight, hope not! See you tomorrow... maybe! Ms. Ashley

Valentine's Party!

Today was our Valentine's Day party! We read the book There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Rose. In small groups we made a heart that you can hang in your window and a crazy heart dude! Our Star of the week showed her horse she got for her birthday too! Then we celebrated Valentine's Day! Thank you to everyone who came to our party!
