Corduroy

Today we read the book Corduroy. In small groups we sorted buttons like the ones Corduroy was looking for, we painted a bear using a fork, and we predicted what would happen to the gummy bears when we put them in different kinds of liquids! We might of eaten a gummy bear or two... it goes along with the experiment! See you tomorrow! Ms. Ashley

Bears!

We're learning about bears this week! Today we read the book Goldilocks and the Three Bears. In small groups we made a bear, we played a bear matching game, and we made/felt grits! It was fun! We also made a bear cave to play in! See you tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

Last day for apples!

Today we read the book Underneath the Apple Tree. In small groups we ripped paper to make a tree, we painted an apple tree, and we counted/sequenced numbered apples! Our Star of the Week shared his board with us today too! Fun week! Have a fabulous weekend, Ms. Ashley!

Apples, apples, apples!

Today we read the book Apples Up On Top. In small groups we counted then glued that many apples on our head, we apple stamped, and we made an apple with seeds inside! We welcomed a new friend today too! We had a fun day! Ms. Ashley

 

Letter E

Today we sang our alphabet song and learned the letter E. In small groups we put together eggs, we drew items out of an E tub, and we matched shapes that were on elephants! Our Star of the Week shared his favorite cars with us today too! Have a great afternoon, Ms. Ashley!

Apple tasting

Today we read the book The Big Red Apple. Instead of small groups, we had one large group! First we tried a red, yellow, and green apple then we colored an apple to show which one is our favorite! Finally we graphed it! We talked about which one had the most, the same, and the least. Some of us had a hard time understanding the term 'least' but we will keep working on it! It was a fun day! Apples!

This week we are learning about apples! Today we read the book Apple Countdown. We only had two small groups today! One was coloring and writing your name on an apple then we put it on a tree in our apple orchard! The other group was playing Hi Ho 'Apple' O! Our Star of the week shared his favorite toy truck! Relatives!

Today we read the book The Relatives Came. In our small groups we cut out a square and a triangle then glued it together to make a house, we put a house in our marble box and shook it to paint our houses, and then finally we talked about when relatives come to our house we clean! So we cleaned our classroom with wipes! Our Star of the week shared his favorite trains and his board with us! He even had cards that he read to us! Have a great weekend, Ms. Ashley
