Last Day for Preschool Olympics

We finished our last day of Olympics with another game! We had six containers that all had a different number on them. We used bean bags to toss into each container, but first we had to tell Ms. Toni what number was on that container! They all had a great time playing this game, and they also did a great job! Just a reminder that CLC will be closed for Summer Break June 30th-July 7th. I hope everyone has a great break and a safe 4th of July! See you July 8th!

Olympic Sports

Today we talked about what different sports we think are in the Olympics. We had soccer, gymnastics, football, tennis and swimming as some of our answers. For our large group today we did our very own ice skating for our CLC Olympic team! The kids had a great time twirling on one foot, running and sliding across the floor, and helping our friends skate.

Italy!

Today we learned about Italy! We talked about their different foods and some of the things they do in their Country. We learned that Italy has many earthquakes and volcanoes.  We learned that pizza was first made in Italy. We all love pizza! We also learned about what Italy's flag looks like. In large group this morning we all made our very own Italian Flag made with a lasagna noodle and paint!

Olympics Week!

Yesterday we started our Olympic week off! We even made our own torches.

Today we read the book Underwear and the kids thought it was extremely funny! For large group we played our own Olympic game. We used flyswatters and balloons to play balloon tennis! We all thought this was a lot of fun.

Last day for zoo fun!

Happy Friday! For circle time we read The View at the Zoo. The kids thought it was quite silly! For large group we played Pass the Zoo Animals, when the music stopped on them they won that round. We drew pictures of our own zoo animals. We also got to play with some new crazy fun hats were added to our dress up center. Have a good weekend.

Water Fun!!

Today was water day! We started off our morning with our regular circle time then we went straight to getting wet! We had two big sensory tubs filled with soapy water with lots of different water toys. Boats, frogs, turtles, fish and some sponges that they decided to use to clean our playground equipment with. We also have a brand new wiggly sprinkler that we all LOVED!

What kind of animal would you like to be at the zoo?

We are learning about Zoos and Zoo animals this week! During circle time we asked the kids what kind of animal they would be if they were in the zoo. We had rabbits, tigers. kitty cats, elephants and monkeys. We read a book teaching us all kinds of fun information about all kinds of animals that could be in Zoos all around the world. During large group we counted our own piles of animal crackers and then got to eat them afterwards. We also counted to 45 as a group and did amazing!
Tomorrow is water day so don't forget your suits, towels and sunscreen!!

Last day!

Today is our last day for most of the kindergarteners! We read the book Last Day Hooray! In small groups we blew color around on wax paper, we painted a beach themed paper, and we folded fans! We were suppose to have a picnic but it got cancelled due to the rainy weather :-( This is my last day until the fall! Have a fabulous summer! Ms. Ashley
