Doctor

Today we read the book Doctor Ted. In small groups we filled out an Ouch paper and put a Band-Aid on it, we rolled a dice and put that many items in our doctor bags, and we practiced traced color words in a cast book! Our Star of the week shared her board with her mom and some of her favorite items! We also had Ms. Coli from the library come in and read to us! We had a very busy morning! Hope to see everyone on Monday and not get another snow day...! Ms. Ashley

We learned about Doctors today!

We read the book Doctors. In small groups we made an X-Ray of your arm, we weighed ourselves and made a graph, then we talked about washing your hands and germs! We put glitter on our hands and rubbed them together then washed our hands; if there was no glitter left over then all the germs were gone! We had a special guest today too! Doctor Shari came in to show us her doctor bag and some tools she used! She also gave us all masks, stickers, and tongue depressors to take home! Thank you so much for sharing your tools with us! Dentist!

We learned about dentist today! We read the book Doctor De Soto. It was about a little mouse who was working in a fox's mouth but the fox really wanted to eat him! But the mouse pulled a funny trick on the fox, see if your kiddo remembers what happened! In small groups today we made mouths and teeth with sugar cubes, we practiced flossing, and we played a crocodile dentist game where you had to press all the crocodile's teeth down before he tried to bite you! At review, we looked at a book that had candy and medicine in it. We talked about how closely they look the same; and how we should only take medicine from doctors, dentist, teachers, or parents. The kids were fascinated with how similar they were! We also looked at the results from the egg shell experiment on Monday. See you guys tomorrow, Ms. Ashley

Letter T

We learned the letter T today! We sang our alphabet song and sounded out the letter. In small groups we rolled a dye and named the number then glued that many teeth on a big T, we spelled our names on teeth (the kiddos wrote or traced the letters on the teeth by themselves!), and we had a T tub that had items that started with T and some that did not! We learned about being a dentist today!

We are learning about dentist and doctors this week! We read the book Hooray for Teeth! In small groups we predicted what will happen to an egg shell if we put it into different liquids; the egg shell will representing teeth and what happens when you drink dark liquids! In another group, we rolled a dye, said the number, then put that many white squares on the mouth to make teeth! We also made toothbrushes, they cut bristles to glue onto a handle! We want to welcome a new friend today! He was very excited to come to school! We changed our play kitchen into a doctor's office, the kids had a blast playing in it! Last Friday, our Star of the Week shared his board and read one of his favorite books with his mama! See you tomorrow! Ms. Ashley
